the trace (time #0.5)

Kube Musette, 2017, Bucharest, Romania

The following installation is composed of six sets of overlapping drawings, chronologically placed; a book that contains images of all the drawings; and a video which shows the entire drawing process.

The project Time #0.5 The Trace (2016-2017) shows three different perspectives of the act of drawing as a metaphor of the ephemerality of memory. It’s an attempt to preserve Time through complementary media processes. These processes are a static, a finite and a dynamic representation/recording of the same event. They act as a puzzle to recover the temporal and spatial notions of the act of drawing, even though you can use all the means possible, to reconstruct an event, the perception becomes unreal. The act of drawing is an act of the present.
